Perhaps the rebuilding process is not broken, as 76ers detractors have been suggesting.
General manager Sam Hinkie delighted Sixers fans Wednesday night less than a week after the franchise was unable to select D’Angelo Russell and make moves in the NBA draft.
The Sixers acquired shooting guard Nik Stauskas, power forwards Carl Landry and Jason Thompson, a 2018 protected top-10 pick and the right to swap first-round picks in 2016 and 2017 in a late-night trade with the Sacramento Kings. The Kings will receive the rights to two of last week’s second-round draft picks Arturas Gudaitis (47th) and Luka Mitrovic (60th).
