The Philadelphia 76ers made a large round of layoffs this week in a new effort to cut costs.
Keith Pompey of The Philadelphia Inquirer reported the news, confirming that, “around 17 employees, including half of the scouting department, were let go Friday.”
Included in that group of scouting cuts were scouting coordinator Christian Endrigian, and scouts Rod Baker and Jordan Cohn. The Sixers’ scouting department has done an excellent job in recent years, especially when it comes to identifying young talent in the draft. The team has hit on several late-first round picks like Matisse Thybulle, Tyrese Maxey and most recently Jaden Springer at No.
