Like the city itself, the Philadelphia 76ers have a rich and long history in the NBA. Probably one of the more deeper parts of the Sixers history is their participation in the NBA Draft. The 76ers have drafted some great players in the past and some not so great players. Luckily for Philadelphia, the franchise has hit on several top lottery picks in recent history and has brought success to the team.
However, the franchise hasn’t had great success in drafting top picks since the inception of the lottery system. There have been some notable disappointments in the lottery, such as Michael Carter-Williams, Larry Hughes and Shawn Bradley.
