With the G-League season now complete, the Philadelphia 76ers can play both Shake Milton and Haywood Highsmith without restriction. Both are signed to two-year, two-way contracts, but Milton is especially deserving of an opportunity this season.
Assuming the Sixers don’t sputter down the stretch, the No. 3 seed is virtually locked up. That will naturally come with some extended rest opportunities for Joel Embiid, Jimmy Butler and the team’s core. It should also come with an opportunity for Milton to get playing time.
At 6-foot-6, the reigning 54th overall pick fits the Sixers’ rotation on paper.
