Philadelphia 76ers releasing Demetrius Jackson from two-way contract

The process of reshaping the bench of the Philadelphia 76ers has begun. According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, the Sixers have parted ways with point guard Demetrius Jackson. The move makes sense for both sides, with Jackson having the chance to go play in China and now the 76ers can use his slot of a two-way contract for a position that the team has less depth in.

Keith Pompey of Philly.com has the strong belief that Haywood Highsmith has a good chance of being signed to the vacated two-way contract spot left in the wake of Jackson’s release.
