It took until late December, but Joel Embiid was finally able to give the Philadelphia 76ers consistently strong performances. It resulted with Philly having a 3-1 record over that time span. That’s why Embiid get’s his first “Player of the Week” award this season.
It should be noted that the 76ers game against the Orlando Magic won’t be included in this “Player of the Week” award, because the normal cut off date is the Friday morning of each week.
In the 76ers lone loss of the week against the Dallas Mavericks, Embiid was the only player on Philly’s roster to show up for the game.
