Philadelphia 76ers need to adjust defensive strategy for Kawhi Leonard

In case there was any lingering doubt, Kawhi Leonard reminded NBA fans of his greatness in Game 1. He dropped 45 points and 11 rebounds on 69.6 percent shooting, surgically dismembering the Philadelphia 76ers‘ ill-prepared defense. That needs to change moving forward.

The Sixers still have a chance to compete in the series, as there were enough positives in Game 1 to avoid complete despair. One major adjustment Brett Brown needs to make is his defensive gameplan for Leonard.

Jimmy Butler drew the initial assignment for Leonard on Saturday, with outright bad results.
