Philadelphia 76ers: Furkan Korkmaz could return to “bullpen” in playoffs

After suffering a torn meniscus in February, Furkan Korkmaz‘s future with the Philadelphia 76ers became uncertain. His team option was declined early in the season, making him an unrestricted free agent next summer. People questioned whether or not he’d see the floor again this season.

According to The Athletic’s Rich Hofmann, Korkmaz is now participating in shooting drills. Brett Brown said the 21-year-old could return to the “bullpen” for the playoffs, indicating the backup wing debate isn’t fully settled.

Following Korkmaz’s injury, James Ennis quickly established himself as the go-to wing off the bench.
