Few teams have an international flavor as strong as the Philadelphia 76ers, who as recently as last season rostered nearly half a team with ties outside the United States. Now one of the team’s biggest stars will represent the Sixers on one of basketball’s biggest stages.
In a tweeted video, Ben Simmons announced his intention to join the Australian National Team for the upcoming events. The FIBA World Cup will take place later this season, where Simmons with join a roster that includes fellow NBA players such as Joe Ingles, Andrew Bogut and Patty Mills.
