Former Philadelphia 76ers’ big man Amir Johnson is getting another chance.
After a good overall career in the NBA, Amir Johnson‘s last stint with the Philadelphia 76ers two years ago didn’t end well. He clearly lost a step and couldn’t contribute on defense anymore. As a result, he didn’t get an NBA contract last season and it was looking like his NBA career was over.
Luckily for him, he has gotten another chance to play at a competitive level at a near-elite level. According to Jared Weiss of The Athletic, Johnson was one of the few former NBA veterans to join the G-League’s Ignite team.
