Shooting guard Nik Stauskas was acquired from the Philadelphia 76ers this offseason in a trade that brought them seemingly half the world and more, while giving up very little. They also got veteran Carl Landry out of the deal, but most of the craze has been about “Sauce Castillo” and what he can do for the team this season.
His offerings could be plentiful, if all goes according to plan. We’ve heard Stauskas on several podcasts talk about how he’s expecting to have more playing freedom in Philly. In Sacramento, he was pressured a lot to be a shooter, and as a result of that, scored less than five points per game, a very anticlimactic rookie debut for the Michigan star.
