Philadelphia 76ers rookie Matisse Thybulle has had a very impressive preseason. He’s not only looked like one of the more NBA-ready rookies from his class but he’s looked like one of the best defenders in the entire league. Thybulle averaged 2.6 steals and 1.4 blocks through 5 preseason appearances. He was the only guard to crack the top 20 in steals and blocks during the preseason.
Thybulle has proven to be a reliable and tough defender, capable of tackling any assignment he’s been given. He’s surprised many spectators around the league with his immediate impact on the defensive end on the floor, leaving some to even compare him to previous defensive juggernauts.
