In the Sixers’ 113-102 loss to the Toronto Raptors on Wednesday night, it was glaringly obvious that Joel Embiid was out of sorts. He shot just 5 of 17 and was a game worst -23. Even Joel himself admitted that he looked like “trash”. He appeared lethargic, leading people to suggest that maybe Embiid could use a night off.
Tonight, Embiid will get that night off, according to Keith Pompey of the Philadelphia Inquirer:
Embiid has been averaging over 34 minutes per game this season — a lot for anyone with a 7+ foot frame and weighing in the mid-to-high 200s.
