Joel Embiid ruled out for second half of back-to-back vs Jazz

The Sixers will be without the reigning MVP when they take on the Jazz Saturday. Joel Embiid was officially ruled out due to left knee swelling. Paul Reed will once again start in his place.

The big fella was a late addition to the injury report today. He was downgraded to questionable right before Nick Nurse’s media availability before the game. Nurse said that in addition to treating the left ankle that’s bothered him the past couple of weeks, some swelling came up in his knee when he woke up today.

Embiid joins a laundry list of Sixers sidelined tonight due to injury.
