This is an idea that has been floating around the Philadelphia 76ers Twitterverse for some time now, and the reasons are fairly obvious. The Sixers are devoid of shot creation outside of Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid right now, with the former struggling mightily in recent weeks.
Lou Williams, for all his well-known shortcomings, brings one heck of a scoring punch to the perimeter. He’s also on the last year of his contract, which makes the idea even better.
There are, however, some other factors in such a decision. Williams has been balling out lately, producing at a career-best rate while emerging as the Clippers’ best player during Blake Griffin‘s injury stint.
