One of the big questions surrounding this year’s Sixers free agency class was ‘will the team bring back J.J Redick?’ After trading away Landry Shamet and seeing him blossom into a laser-arm, it seemed like bringing back Redick was a no-brainer, and with reports of him ‘wanting to retire a Sixer’ emerging earlier, everything was moving in the right direction…until it wasnt.
Redick has signed a two-year deal with the New Orleans Pelicans, according to the dark lord himself and his bombs of knowledge. The deal is said to be worth $26.5M.
This stings. The Sixers have signed Redick to two one-year deals, but the veteran wanted longevity and he deserved it.
