The Philadelphia 76ers announced on Monday that guard Jerryd Bayless would be assigned to the Delaware 87ers of the NBA’s Developmental League.
Bayless, who has yet to play this season after signing a three-year free agent contract this summer, is being sent to the Sevens as part his “ongoing rehabilitation”, according to the team’s press release.
He suffered a torn ligament in his left wrist during training camp, and ESPN’s Jeff Goodman reported that Bayless is expected to miss the first month of the season.
He’s been able to shoot prior to games and after practices, but has not been able to practice with the team since injuring himself.
