Former Sixers star and broadcaster Steve Mix is now an usher for the Mets

Steve Mix played 13 NBA seasons, and during his seven years with the Sixers, he was roommates with the legendary Julius Erving.

After he retired, Mix worked for 22 years beside Marc Zumoff as a color commentator on Sixers television games, calling games during the team’s run to the Finals behind Allen Iverson.

So what’s he doing working as a spring training usher for the Mets in Flordia?

New York Post reporter Kevin Kernan caught up with Mix at First Data Field in Port St. Lucie, Fla., where, at 6-foot-7, Mix might be the tallest usher working in baseball today.
