We are at a time in our nation where we carefully watch the recovery from a global pandemic. As sports attempt to make their return with set protocols to ensure that everyone is safe, a new dawn of Basketball was kickstarted this past weekend.
On July 4th, one of the summer basketball events got going called The Basketball Tournament, this is a 24 team tournament that plays single-elimination, 5-on-5 with a winner-take-all prize of $1 million. All games are set to take place at Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio.
There is a team from Philadelphia taking part, aptly named ‘Team Brotherly Love’.
