Eugene Burroughs has moved from an assistant role on the 76ers' coaching staff to the head job with their D-League affiliate, the Delaware 87ers.
Burroughs is a Philadelphia native who went to high school at Episcopal Academy. For the last two NBA seasons, he was the 76ers' shooting coach. Before then, he worked on college staffs at Penn State, Marist, Navy, Hofstra and American University.
The move from the Wells Fargo Center to Newark is part of a swap of coaches between the Sixers and the Sevens. Kevin Young, Delaware's head coach for the last two seasons, will come to Philadelphia to work as an assistant.
