76ers fans finally have the answer regarding the date of Joe Embiid's surgery.
Yahoo Sports reported early Saturday morning that Embiid will have the anticipated foot surgery Tuesday. A source confirmed that the Sixers rookie center acknowledged that Friday night.
Embiid was the lone Sixers player at the wedding reception of assistant coach Lloyd Pierce and the former Melissa Ghoston, a Philadelphia native. The 7-footer, who was selected third in last summer’s draft, was in good spirits and did not have a walking boot on his foot.
This will mark his second surgery on his right foot.
