Delaware 87ers guard Dionte Christmas ruptures Achilles tendon, is done for season

Dionte Christmas' season with the Delaware 87ers is over after he ruptured his right Achilles tendon during Tuesday's game against the Northern Arizona Suns.

It's brutal news for the Temple product, who had finally come home to his native Philadelphia after playing for 15 different teams since leaving North Broad Street.

Christmas joined the Sevens after a preseason tryout with the 76ers, who waived him, but kept his D-League rights. He played all 31 games for the Sevens this season, averaging 14.
