Cavs and Celtics still have flaws the Sixers don’t

There isn’t a better sports league in the world. After a whirlwind of trade talks involving Kyrie Irving had seemingly died down, the Cavs reached a deal with the most unexpected of trade partners — the Boston Celtics.

Cleveland sent Irving to their foremost Eastern Conference rival, almost guaranteeing a showdown in the conference finals while supposedly bolstering the Celtics’ long-term outlook. Isaiah Thomas will now make his way to northeast Ohio, ripping him away from a Boston team he was committed to like few other stars around the league.

It’s a tough business, and this trade was a loaded example as to why that’s the case.
