Bucks clinch playoff berth with win over 76ers as debate over rookie of the year rages

Saturday night's game at the Wells Fargo Center was supposed to feature NBA rookie of the year candidate Dario Saric of the 76ers and the Milwaukee Bucks' Malcolm Brogdon.

Instead, Brodgon missed his fifth consecutive game with a sore back as the Bucks prevailed, 90-82. But that didn't stop the rookie of the year debate.

The only reason there is a discussion is because Sixers rookie center Joel Embiid played in just 31 games before season-ending surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his left knee.

"It gets down to people's judgment of how they weigh 31 games versus a body of work," said Sixers coach Brett Brown, whose team lost their sixth straight game and fell to 28-52.
