According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, the Sixers will not be making a coaching change this summer — Brett Brown will return for his seventh season as the team’s Head Coach.
After winning just 75 games in his first four seasons with the team as the front office executed an aggressive rebuild, Brown has been the architect of back-to-back 50-plus win teams.
There was much speculation over Brown’s job security as team management pushed forward the window for championship contention and expectations rose dramatically. A New York Times report from over the weekend stated that Brown had “little chance” of surviving if the team was knocked out in the second round once again.
