Joining the likes of Joel Embiid, Zach Ertz, and a plethora of other Philadelphia sports figures, Sixers’ power forward/center Al Horford has made a quite hefty donation to support people currently being affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Pledging sums of $500,000 US dollars to six different locations, Horford’s donation will no doubt help those in need. An absolutely wonderful gesture from a player who has long been involved in charity work both in the US, and in his home country the Dominican Republic.

Horford selected six separate areas to receive donation sums, each one representing an area in which he played basketball at some point in time.
