76ers' path back to championship contention is painfully obvious

Last Friday against the Indiana Pacers, Joel Embiid registered his best game of the season for the Philadelphia 76ers. He logged 39 points on 12-for-23 shooting, grabbed nine rebounds, and got to the free throw line 18 times. It was a vintage performance, and it's exactly the kind of night Sixers fans need to see him have more often if this team's going to become a true contender once again.

The start to the season was rough for Embiid, and some had begun to wonder if he had lost a step. While injuries may still affect him to some degree, he's proven that he can still put up these kinds of dominant evenings.
