The 76ers have started strong thanks to a weak early season schedule and impressive production out of their starting backcourt of Tyrese Maxey and V.J. Edgecombe. A reasonable case could be made for Maxey as the NBA's MVP so far, as the guard is averaging over 34 points, nearly five rebounds, over one steal, and one block per game, and a three-to-one assist to turnover ratio so far in his sixth season.
His rookie running mate, V.J. Edgecombe, adds a scoring punch and superstar athleticism while relieving some of the pressure to run the offense.
