PHILADELPHIA — The last time the Sixers won against the Spurs was in February 2011. Back then, Ben Simmons was only 15 years old and coach Brett Brown was an assistant coach on the other team's bench.
Wednesday, Brown won his first-ever game as a head coach against his old boss, San Antonio coach Gregg Popovich, and the Sixers snapped a 12-game skid against the traditional Western Conference power, winning at Wells Fargo Center 112-106. The Sixers (18-19) have won three games in a row and four of their last five.
Here are six observations from Philadelphia's latest victory.
