I don’t think 2017 went the way most Philadelphia 76ers fans thought it would. Nobody expected the Sixers to go on a massive run in January, while their struggles in December caught most fans (and pundits) off guard.
Now they enter the new year at 17-19, a solid record for a young team facing the league’s toughest schedule. Expectations were still higher coming into the season, though, and another year without the playoffs could disappoint some folks, however unreasonable that may be. That leads to one key thing: potential areas of improvement.
Philly has been as competitive as anybody this year, it just comes down to execution and roster construction moving forward.
