With the third overall pick in the 2014 NBA Draft, the Philadelphia 76ers have selected C Joel Embiid out of Kansas.
Despite the concerns over Embiid's health following stress fractures in his foot and back, the Sixers decided they couldn't pass up the potential of a generational talent at the center position. The Sixers drafted Nerlens Noel in 2013, but clearly decided to go for the best player available rather than draft for need.
