The Waves kicked off the season Friday, Aug. 27, by defeating Winthrop 25-18, 18-25, 25-14, 25-14 and continued their solid play into Saturday’s double-header. First, the Waves defeated Morehead State 25-19, 25-21, 26-24, before overcoming a slow start against the Georgia Bulldogs, winning the match 17-25, 24-26, 25-22, 25-16, 15-11.
