In a season of uncertainty, injuries and losing streaks, Men’s Basketball has excelled in one department: its retro orange uniforms.
However, these retro uniforms aren’t exclusive to the Waves. Pepperdine is one of eight schools to receive the throwback treatment. According to Paul Lukas’ ESPN article “The 2016 Uni Watch College Basketball Preview,” published Nov. 9, Appalachian State, Chicago State, Florida Gulf Coast, Nevada, North Carolina A&T, Valparaiso and Wichita State also received new “throwback” uniforms from the same cursive font template (sidenote: although Wichita State has always had cursive font on their uniforms, now the Shockers have a white home uniform from said template).
