For the first time ever, a Penn State basketball player was selected in the first round of the NBA draft as Yanic Konan Niederhauser was taken with the 30th pick by the Los Angeles Clippers.

YKN spent one season at Penn State, coming to Happy Valley after two seasons at Northern Illinois. He made his mark as a Nittany Lion averaging 12.9 PPG, 6.3 RPG, and 2.3 BPG, all the while showcasing elite athleticism to go along with a massive 7-foot, 250-pound frame. When I say “elite athleticism” I mean it, as YKN graded out with a 100/100 athletic score + size measurements.
