For years, as college wrestling has grown, the stars of the NCAA’s lights faded out once they left their boots on the national championships mat. Former Penn State affiliated wrestlers kept competing in wrestling, but didn’t have a national platform to perform on.
While wrestling has an international circuit, culminating in the Olympics, these events are hard to view and not readily available to the mainstream public. Amateur wrestling hasn’t been able to develop a professional league to platform athletes once they graduate.
Now, Real American Freestyle is attempting to change that narrative, using high-end production and investment to attempt to establish a prominent event for the sport of wrestling.
