A man named Jon Misch from Michigan played football at Michigan State, but that little idiosyncrasy isn’t why the 29-year-old former “Survivor” contestant received a phone call Thursday evening, about 45 hours before Pitt and Penn State will drop the gloves at Beaver Stadium.
Misch was back in the news, so to speak, early this week when Pat Narduzzi mentioned him out of the blue in reference to Pitt’s preparations for the Nittany Lions. So perhaps that was worth giving Misch a ring — to find out how Narduzzi helped the former Michigan State linebacker cover the wheel route, and simply to chat a bit about Narduzzi in general.
