1. SEAN CLIFFORD’S SNEAKY ATHLETICISM
All offseason, people have been hyping up Clifford’s athleticism, saying he’s more athletic than one would expect. Sure, he wasn’t going to be able to run like Trace McSorley or Tommy Stevens, but that he would offer at least something in the run game. I was rather skeptical of that. Granted I didn’t think he’d be a Hack-or-Morelli-esque statue, but I was not expecting many — if any at all — rushing yards from Cliff this year.
As it turns out, Clifford does have some wheels. Yes, it was against an Idaho defense that absolutely stunk, but 57 yards rushing is pretty encouraging.
