Looking for a sign of how good Penn State’s backfield could be in 2025? All three starters have been named to the Maxwell Award Watch List, given annually to the best player in the nation, regardless of position.
Quarterback Drew Allar, along with running backs Nicholas Singleton and Kaytron Allen, all appear on the the preseason watch list. Allar will be back for his third season as starting quarterback, and has completed 63 percent of his passes for 6,302 yards and 53 touchdowns, while adding 560 rushing yards and 11 scores during his time with the Nittany Lions.
