Trio of Nittany Lions Named to Doak Walker Award Watchlist

It’s no secret that those who follow and cover the Penn State Football program closely think very highly of the Nittany Lions running back room.

It looks like Doak Walker Award committee thinks just as highly of the position group. On Wednesday, three Penn State running backs were named to the Doak Walker Award watch list with the inclusion of senior John Lovett, junior Noah Cain, and sophomore Keyvone Lee.

Lovett, a transfer from Baylor enters the program with nearly 2,000 total yards from scrimmage in his career, including 1,803 career rushing yards and 17 touchdowns. Cain, entered last season as the Nittany Lions starting running back but had his season cut short due to a foot injury just three carries into the season.
