HERSHEY, Pa. — Hersheypark has many rollercoasters with up and down bends, so it seems fitting that Penn State played a game in the nearby Giant Center as its season took a plunge.
The Nittany Lions, who were coming off a promising 76-72 loss to No. 9 Michigan State last week, didn’t keep up with Pitt on Sunday, losing 80-46 to drop to 8-4 on the year. Mike Rhoades is navigating a young team this season, and he highlighted the ups and downs a squad like this has postgame.
“When you're dealing with 18-to-23-year-olds, they're different every day, and that's the reality of it,” Rhoades said.
