Rick Wright is the New Mexico football beat writer for the Journal in Albuquerque, New Mexico. We caught up with him to talk about the Lobos ahead of Saturday’s game.
Brandon Foster: After being near the top of the division the last couple years, has there been some frustration this year starting the season with a 1-3 record in conference play?
Rick Wright: They’re not going to say they’re frustrated, but they’ve had to adjust their sights. Last year they tied for the division title and won nine games. Mathematically, they could still win nine games, but everybody’s realistic about it.
