All Josh Allen wanted was his chance, and he finally had one.
Allen had begged, literally, for a shot at quarterbacking a Division I team, sending hundreds of emails to head coaches and offensive coordinators in what would later become fodder for the national media that swarmed on Allen after his redshirt sophomore season.
Those emails had nothing to do with him ending up at Wyoming. Offensive coordinator Brent Vigen doesn't even remember receiving one.
"No I don’t," he said with a laugh, "and to be honest we get a number of those each day."
But Allen wound up at Wyoming nonetheless.
