Superlatives for Wake Forest’s 2017 football season

It was move-in day for Wake Forest’s early enrollees Monday, the six newcomers who are part of a 21-player class. It’s a group that will join a Deacons team that ended the 2017 season with an offensive explosion in the Belk Bowl and enters next season with aspirations to continue raising the bar.

It’s time to move on from the 2017 season, but not before handing out some best-of’s for the Deacons.

Offensive MVP

Quarterback John Wolford: This was the first and easiest choice. The senior was bludgeoned in his first two seasons, but with talented pieces surrounding him, he bludgeoned opposing defenses and Wake Forest’s record book.
