Sue Paterno and her son Jay are seeking seats on Penn State University’s board of trustees, according to media reports.
Mrs. Paterno, the wife of the late longtime PSU football coach Joe Paterno, and her son Jay Paterno are accepting nominations to become board members, WTAJ-TV in Altoona reports.
Nomination ballots are being accepted for three seats on the board. The seats are held by Al Lord, Robert Jubelirer and Alice Pope -- all vocal Joe Paterno supporters and all likely to run for re-election.
Nomination ballots will be accepted until Feb. 25 and the ballot will be emailed out to alumni on April 10, with voting set to close on May 4.
