After narrowly escaping Johns Hopkins 13-12 in the quarterfinal, the men’s lacrosse team fell 10-8 to Maryland yesterday in the Big Ten semifinals.
Penn State came back from a 6-2 halftime deficit to tie the game at 6 entering the fourth quarter, but a 3-0 run by Maryland in the fourth quarter put the game out of reach for the upset-minded Lions. Liam Matthews scored 2 goals for Penn State, the only Nittany Lion to score more than once in the game.
Kyle Lehman scored 4 goals and an assist in the win over Johns Hopkins to reach the 20-goal milestone for the season.
