Saquon Barkley doesn't care when he's drafted. He's ready to work.

INDIANAPOLIS — Saquon Barkley is not only considered the best running back at the NFL Scouting Combine, he is thought by some to be the best player in the April draft.

If the Cleveland Browns and New York Giants don’t select him with either of the top two picks — they have desperate quarterback needs — the Indianapolis Colts almost assuredly will make him the third overall selection.

That would make Barkley the highest running back selected in the draft since the Browns selected Trent Richardson with the No. 3 pick in 2012. No running back has been taken with the first overall pick since 1995, when another Penn State player, Ki-Jana Carter, was taken by the Cincinnati Bengals.
