Penn State’s Tony Carr pulled off a rare feat — one that’s taken nearly 10 years for the basketball program to achieve again | Centre Daily Times

For the first time in nearly a decade, the Penn State men’s basketball team has produced a consensus All-Big Ten first-team selection.

Sophomore guard Tony Carr was named Tuesday to the first teams as chosen by both the coaches and the media. Carr is the Nittany Lions’ first such selection since 2009 when Talor Battle earned identical honors.

Carr paced the conference in scoring with 20.1 points per game in Big Ten contests and finished fifth in the league with an average of 4.9 assists. He scored in double figures in all but two games on the year, and he was the Nittany Lions’ top scorer in 16 of their 31 matchups.
