During the last few years, a number of old – really old – videotapes of 1970s sporting events have begun to pop up on Youtube. I suspect some have been uploaded from ancient ¾-inch broadcast tapes by old engineers from some of the networks.
Among other games that have sprouted just in the last year or so are two full telecasts from the 1972 World Series, a bunch of 1972 ALCS highlight clips from the original broadcasts and several college football broadcasts, all from NBC.
