Penn State’s 59-0 win against Maryland on Friday night wasn’t enough for Associated Press voters to place them higher than last week’s No. 12 ranking.
Joining the Nittany Lions in the rankings are No. 4 Ohio State, No. 8 Wisconsin, No. 14 Iowa, and No. 19 Michigan. Undefeated Minnesota garnered 15 votes but remains unranked, while Michigan State dropped out of the poll and received 147 votes.
Alabama leapfrogged Clemson to claim the top ranking. The Crimson Tide cruised past SEC foe Ole Miss 59-31 on Saturday, while the Tigers needed a stop on a late two-point conversion to avoid a seismic upset against UNC.
