Penn State wrestling sends six to finals, holds team lead in Big Ten championships

Penn State went 6-7 in the semifinals and built a commanding lead to close out day one of the 2016 Big Ten Championships.

Nico Megaludis (125 pounds) and Jimmy Gulibon (141) won close matches to advance to the finals, while Zain Retherford, Jason Nolf, Bo Nickal and Morgan McIntosh cemented their No. 1 rankings with dominating performances.

After day one, the No. 1 Nittany Lions sit atop the team standings at 133 points. Co-Big Ten regular season champion Iowa sits in second with 106, while Ohio State sits third with 100.

Megaludis was first to punch his finals ticket, upsetting No.
